This study focuses on elevating children’s acquisition of BIPA (Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers) vocabulary via the Beekita BIPA application. Employing the 4D model (Define, Design, Development, Dissemination), this research encompasses meticulous developmental stages. Outcomes reveal customized vocabulary learning for children at A-1 and A-2 levels, encompassing self-presentation, numerals, days, family, and daily life. The Beekita BIPA application integrates corpus analysis, ‘Sahabatku Indonesia A-1’ textbook, and online resources to craft its vocabulary. It offers a range of features: a start page, immersive introduction through ‘Bee,’ usage instructions, thematic choices mirroring Indonesian islands, vocabulary exposition with pronunciation, educational games, and digital stamps as rewards. Expert evaluation confirms the application’s alignment with pedagogical standards, age-appropriate design, linguistic norms, interactivity, and cognitive aptitude. Empirical trials underscore its visual appeal, motivational potency, clear audio, and aesthetic quality. In conclusion, this study navigates developmental, pedagogical, and evaluative realms, enriching children’s BIPA vocabulary acquisition. Anchored in ‘Enhancing Children’s BIPA Vocabulary Learning through the Beekita BIPA Application,’ it opens pathways for pedagogical innovations in language education.
