About Rigia

Rigia is a lecturer in Primary Teacher Education program at BINUS University. She is passionate about supporting future educators in developing strong pedagogical understanding and reflective teaching practices.

Background

Rigia is a graduate of the Primary Teacher Education program at Universitas Sanata Dharma, Yogyakarta. She later continued her studies in Educational Research and Evaluation at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. After completing her studies, she has been working in BINUS Corporate Learning Development (BCL&D) department, which designs and delivers various training programs for teachers and school staff. In this role, she has gained experience in analyzing training needs, developing training modules, designing assessments and evaluating assessment results.

She also volunteers in a non-governmental organization that focuses on children's literacy. These professional and volunteer experiences allow her to bring practical perspectives into her teaching in the field of education.

Academic Work and Research

As a lecturer, Rigia teaches courses related to educational theory, educational research, and literacy. Her academic work focuses on needs analysis as well as the development of educational assessments and learning programs. In her teaching, she emphasizes inquiry-based learning and experiential learning approaches.

Research Interests

Rigia’s research interests include educational research methodology, assessment and evaluation, literacy and teacher professional learning. She is particularly interested in exploring how literacy and reflective practices can enhance meaningful learning experiences for young learners and support teachers in creating effective learning environments.
